Kody Lostroh dislocated is left shoulder (riding arm) when his hand hung briefly in his rope and the bull’s hip struck him in the back as he was thrown from his Championship Round bull in Phoenix. The shoulder was reduced in the training room. He was advised to have the shoulder x-rayed and to undergo an MRI if considering non-operative treatment. He is expected to be out a minimum of 2 weeks.
Wagner Luciano tore the medial collateral ligament of his left knee when he twisted it as he was thrown from his second round bull in Phoenix. He also has evidence of an anterior cruciate ligament tear and was advised to have x-rays and an MRI to confirm the presumptive diagnosis and rule out other injuries. He will likely require surgical treatment and will be out for an undetermined length of time.
Ednei Caminhas bruised his right shoulder (riding arm, rotator cuff) when he landed on his elbow with the arm overhead when he was thrown from his first round bull in Phoenix. He competed in the subsequent rounds.
Stormy Wing sprained his right knee (MCL, POL, PFL) when twisted the knee dismounting his secound bull in Kansas City. He competed in subsequent rounds.
McKennon Wimberly sprained his right wrist (free hand) when he landed on his outstretched right hand as he dismounted his second round bull in Kansas City. He competed in subsequent rounds. X-rays showed no evidence of a fracture.
Rocky McDonald sustained a concussion when his head hit the ground as he was thrown from his second round bull in Kansas City. He competed in the third round.
Beau Hill bruised his left elbow (riding arm) when he was stepped on after dismounting his second round bull in Kansas City. He competed in the third round.
Luke Snyder sustained a concussion when he landed hard on his shoulder when he was thrown from his first round bull in Kansas City. He competed in subsequent rounds.
Renato Nunes sprained his right knee (MCL, POL) when he was kicked as he was thrown from his first round bull in Kansas City. He competed in subsequent rounds.
Valdiron de Oliveira broke his right shoulder (riding arm, nondisplaced greater tuberosity fracture) when he landed on his elbow with his arm overhead as he was thrown from his third round bull in Kansas City. He was unable to compete in the Championship Round and will be out for at least 6-8 weeks.
Kody Lostroh returned to competition in St. Louis but did not compete in the Championship Round after aggravating his left elbow injury in the third round. He competed in Kansas City.
Bryan Richardson did not compete in the Championship Round in St. Louis after spraining his left wrist during his third round ride. He competed in Kansas City.
Skeeter Kingsolver sustained a concussion during his ride in the Championship Round when his head collided with the bull’s head. He competed in Kansas City.
Guilherme Marchi returned to competition in Arlington. He did not compete in the third round in St. Louis after aggravating his right wrist (riding hand) during his second round ride. He competed in Kansas City.
Brian Canter tore the lateral meniscus of left knee when he twisted it as he landed after being was thrown from his second round bull in St. Louis. He did not compete in the third round. He underwent surgery on March 2nd to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee and remove the torn piece of cartilage. While recuperating from the knee surgery, he is going to undergo previously planned arthroscopy of his right hip to remove remove torn cartilage. He will be out 4-5 months.
Cody Ford sustained a bruised right foot when he was stepped on as he was thrown from his second round bull in St. Louis. He competed in the third round.
Dusty Ephrom did not compete in the second or third rounds in St. Louis after aggravating a right groin injury in the first round. He is out for an indeterminant length of time.
Ross Coleman aggravated an old sprain of his right hand (riding hand) during his first round ride in Oklahoma City. He did not compete in the subsequent rounds.
Travis Sellers sustained a concussion when his head hit the ground after being thrown from his third round bull in Oklahoma City. He competed in the Championship Round.
Bryan Richardson sustained a facial contusion and a concussion when he was struck in the face by a horn during his ride in the first round in Oklahoma City. He did not compete in the subsquent rounds.
