Las Vegas, NV (November 20, 2009) - Three lucky PBR fans headed to Las Vegas for the trip of a lifetime and the chance to win the 2009 Built Ford Tough Invasion of the Bulls Sweepstakes. But only one went home as the Grand Prize winner!
Congratulations to Linda Hance (Kingsport, Tenn.) for taking home the title of Grand Prize winner in the 2009 Invasion of the Bulls Sweepstakes! She is now the proud new owner of a 2009 special-edition PBR Ford F-150 King Ranch and is the honorary stock contractor of the bull, Super Duty.
Ted Glover (Stuart, Okla) and Amber Smith (Cookeville, Tenn.) each tried their key in the special-edition PBR Ford F-150, but it was Linda’s that started the truck at the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals and made her the instant winner.
“The PBR and Built Ford Tough’s Invasion of the Bulls has become a very exciting and successful promotion,” says the PBR’s chief executive officer Randy Bernard. “ We continue to see more and more fans register and when you see how the finalists get treated by Ford and the fun they have in Las Vegas, no wonder Invasion of the Bulls continues to grow. “
The Invasion continues in 2010! Fans can register for the 2010 Built Ford Tough Invasion of the Bulls Sweepstakes right now. Registration will close on October 10, 2010 at the end of the PBR’s 2010 Built Ford Tough Series regular season. Three finalists will win a VIP trip for two to the 2010 PBR World Finals in Las Vegas where they will compete to determine the “Invasion of the Bulls” Grand Prize Winner. One lucky finalist will leave Las Vegas as the Grand Prize winner of an all-new 2011 Ford Super Duty and receive tickets for LIFE to the PBR Built Ford Tough Series! For information on how to enter, go to www.InvasionOfTheBulls.com.

I am beginning to agree with the person who wrote that the judges are unfair toward the Brazilis. I'm specifically referring to Portland. Mauney bucked off his bull in the first go round. Marchi rode his for 85.5. Now, in the second round Marchi bucked off. Then when it was JB's turn he rode for a score of 86. I truly believe that the judges scored him 1/2 points more than Marchi deliberatly. That 1/2 point kept Marchi from making the short go. I agree that the promoters picked JB to push at the start of the year. They have been unrelentig in the pandering to him. Why they had him in Dallas for the "Cowboy" event this next February is beyond my comprehension. Marchi lives just outside of Dallas and is the World Reigning PBR Champion. Why in the world wasn't he there instead of Mauney? I just don't get all this JB hype.

Looks like a glitch to me. The address I'm seeing for this page is the generic "pbrnow.com/release/index.cfm" rather than the usual "pbrnow.com/release/?id=5648"-type address. I've seen this happen before a couple times, when we suddenly see a bunch of random comments from months ago. They've always fixed it before, and I'm sure they'll do so again.
kingswin: Um...if the PBR wanted to practice unfair censorship, I don't think the posts below are the ones they'd chose to allow...

Hopefully this is a glitch and not censorship!! Where are our comments?

I do not agree with the judges call. A few weeks ago, the same think happened to Shivers---no reride. The score for the bull was tooooo high 43.50. It slowed down to a photo opportunity at about 6.5 seconds---the reride was a gift and so was the score!!!! thanks Ray

Of all the bad in the world now, and you are going to complain about jw harts grammer? are you kidding? I think judgmental mean people like you are a bad influence on young children. You dont pick on peolple like that and your accusing him of saying mean things about flint? read what you just wrote? JW is kidding around and you should learn to take a joke...flint sure knows how too and they are very big fans of each other and you would know that if you watched more often and listened to jw hart when he speaks. JW Hart is an honest god loving hard working man and shame on you for picking on him!! JW never change we love you just the way you are!!!!
Rebelnbobbi May 12, 2009
I just read comments about JW Hart's grammer being a bad influence on young viewers. Well what we think is a bad influence on young viewers are the weekly temper tantrums by "top" bull riders when they are bucked off (ie.... JB Mauney, Brian Canter, Matt Bohon, and I could go on...... The weekly displays of immaturity are getting out of hand. Its ok to show frustration after being bucked off but to go behind the chutes and throw their ropes and bells, knock over trash cans and the sour puss look on their faces are definitely bad examples for the young impressionable audience watching the PBR. Time to grow up boys. You are in the spotlight and it looks very bad on your character when you act like this. They look like 6 year old who had their ice cream taken away.

I agree with MontanaPBR12 when he said J.W. needs to improve his grammar some but he is who he is. I do, however, I think that he should not be degrading Flint. Flint is why many of us enjoy going to the events as well as the bullriders.. Can't wait for Flint to return. He is one of the funniest men I have seen and he really has my respect for what he does. If only I had a quarter of his talent and energy. YOU GO FLINT ! YOU ARE GREAT !
chasnlinda March 23, 2009
For a couple of weeks now, you have been going on about the #1 and #2 top riders in the PBR will compete in Albuquerque ( that being Lostroh and Mauney.) Now that Mauney has dropped to #3 does that mean that you are renegging on who is #2 and still going with those ariginal two. The announcers seen to be good at putting their feet in their mouths. All along , you have been saying #1 and #2 riders whoever they may be.
noritao5 March 19, 2009
I love the PBR: HOWEVER, I think the upcoming match between Kody Lostroh & J.B. mauney for $50,000.00 in ludicrious!! What's the point?? If there's lots of money to toss around, do a couple of other things; 1. lower the high level tickets to make going to the events more reasonable for family & fans. 2. Give extra money to the PBR relief fund or to others who are in dire need during this hard time in our troubled economy. No punt intended, just good common sense.

This can only mean that when you get well you will even have more energy than 5 men (if that is possible) . You are more entergetic than most. So when your 100% you are going to be one heck of a live wire. You need to take care and get well not just for us fans but for all your girls. So my payers are for your speedy recovery and your family.Get well superstar. Barbara Gattis

As for the competition between Bones and Big Tex....wouldn't it be great if the $50,000 winner would donate it toward the Crisis Fund for injured cowboys.

I would really like to see JW Hart improve his grammar and knock off the negative comments about Flint Rasmussen. Hart's exceptionally poor grammar sets a bad example for the PBR, especially for young viewers. And regarding Rasmussen, he's such a huge part of the overall entertainment at the live PBR events that he's actually part of the reason many of us attend those live events. I actually wish more of Rasmussen's antics and comments would be included in the PBR TV broadcasts instead of so much talking in the commentator booth during those times when we're waiting for a rider or a bull to get ready or waiting on a replay challenge, etc.
I also think the PBR should do Athlete Profiles on the bull fighters. They are every bit as outstanding as athletes as the riders and the bulls.

I love the PBR but I hope you're not going to make it a side-show like the wrestlers. I thought it was cute when they announced the fight between J.B. and Bones but that last night about the riders names was over the top. Please give them some respect.

I agree the brasilians dont get the scores they deserve and the judges do favor some riders more than others and it shows in their scoring do they think the fans are blind and we do have the abilaty to replay and freeze the rides and see if someone touched the bull marchi didnt Jb is a good rider but please stop the favoratizam in the scoring and the commentating other riders are doing great and should be talked about even the ones that are not doing as good as they hope we would like to here about them too.

I love bullriding and the PBR but it has definitely changed the past few years. At the beginning of the year or even starting at the finals you people seem to pick who is going to be your big star for the coming year and he is promoted until we get sick of hearing about him. As long as Justin McBride was there he was the golden boy who could do no wrong and this year you have decided it is J B. They are both good riders (although I think JB is better than Justin) but their rides are always scored higher even when other rides are much better. I have read i in the blogs over and over how the Brazilians are always scored lower and I DEFINITELY AGREE. JB will have a wonderful chance of winning fairly and in return we the fans won't get disgusted with JB hype like we did with McBride so lets score and focus on all the riders (including Brazilians) not just your chosen one.

For Randy, Ty and Cody; I would like to address the scoring of the fantasee in respect to counting the exhibition ride on Bones. This was a strictly exhibition match, and had no bearing on either Guillermi or Bones scores in the PBR standings. I really appreciate all the hard work that you all do to put on the shows and keep them interesting, and I am sure that the PBR did not even think about the consequenses of the fantasee scoring should either Guillermi or Bones be unable to compete in further rounds. For some of us who have listened to Ty comment on bulls, and heard him say that you never know how an unridden bull will react to being ridden, some buck harder afterwards, and some not as well. Taking that into consideration, along with the fact that either Guillermi or Bones might be unable to compete after the exhibition match, I didn't pick either of them for my fantasee teams. I still had a good score, and sure want it to count in my top 12, but the PBR did decide to count Bones exhibition score, which dropped me 6 places over all. I do not expect them to retract the decision, and that is OK, but it is unfair in any contest or game to change the rules or requiremnts after the game is over. I realize that the PBR was in a no win situation, darned if you count it and darned if you don't, but in this case I believe the wrong choice was made to count a score from a match that was not even a part of the competition.
For anyone who has played fantasee in previous years, you know that the draw is usually available Wednesday or Thursday. We make our picks from the list at that time. If any rider or bull is not at an event we do not know about it until we either see the event on TV, or the results on line. If a contractor gets to an event with a bull, and decides it is injured or sick, he is going to be primarily concerned about the welfare of his animal. If this bull is one of your fantasee picks, you get a zero. If a rider that is posted in the draw is unable to attend for any reason you get a zero. This happened several times last year, Travis Briscoe missed events at the last minute, once for an injury and once for illness, I think it was Valderon who missed an event he was posted to ride in because he had to go home to Brazil for a family emergency. And Adriano missed the first round of an event, due to the airport in Dallas being closed. All of us who picked them for our teams got a zero for each and every round they missed. We did not get a consolation score, because it was unfair to us that our player was unable to perform, and we didn't complain. It's just part of the game.
I am looking forward to the match in Oklahoma City between JB and Bones. But you guys have a week now to decide what the rules are going to be in scoring these exhibition matches for the fantasee games. Are the exhibtion scores going to count? If JB rides do the players who pick him get a 5th score in addition to the 4 he might possibly get in the regular rounds? If he is successful, but unable to ride in the next regular rounds will the exhibition score count?
It would be really nice if these decisions were made ahead of time, so we are all playing by the same rules.

I am also in agreement that Marchi did not slap the bull (Spin Zone) I think in the future instead of re-playing the tape they need to freeze the footage in question. Also they need more than one angle.

I think is very unfair to give score of zero on bones when the bull was pulled from the lineup after the the competition started, just because of a bet and chalenge that we had no control over. the should have used the bull score from Marchi's ride or from the replacement bull.

If Kasey Hayes was fined $7500 and has to attend anger management, what about Marchi? His behavior was much worse. He finally saw the hair of the bull on his sleeve and realized his mistake. How about a fine for him.
Abby February 1, 2009
This match deal should be called the Tom Teague ego series. There is so much talk about the matches that the TV fans miss a lot of the REAL competion. Because of the match, he then draws Bones out of the competition. What about the fans playing the Fantasy Game that picked Bones? We have favorites that we like to watch compete. If they are good enough to be in the top 40, we should be able to watch All of them, not some rich man side show.
Capn Allen January 31, 2009
It was obvious Marchi touched the bull. Come on, how can he get away with all his huffing and puffing and complaining to the judges. Kasey Hayes was fined and such for be unsportsman like, how about Marchi?

enough of bones and marchi. i was watching todays pbr on versus, and im really disapointed and the judges. talking about the marchi and spin zone, that was not a slap, and i think chris shivers should of won the event. j.b muney, he's a great rider but sometimes i think the judges just hear the name j.b, and they get blindfolded .
