PUEBLO, Colo. (January 20, 2009) - North Carolina’s Brian Canter dominated at the Denver Coliseum on January 12-14 when he took home more than $20,000 of the $80,000 that was up for grabs during the three days of PBR pandemonium. In spite of being a Minor League event – it was, by far, a first-class production with VIP’s such as retired NFL quarterback, John Elway, in attendance. Not only is the former Denver Broncos superstar a huge fan of the sport – he’s a PBR investor as well. “I have a lot of respect for these bull riders and it was something that I wanted to get involved with. I thought it was something that a lot of people haven’t been exposed to so it was a great opportunity to get involved. It has continued to grow year after year and we’re (Wayne Gretzky) proud to be a part of it.”
The city of Pueblo, Colorado seemed to eat, sleep and breathe the PBR this past week as it played host to the Pueblo PBR Enterprise Rent-A-Car Tour and is home to the “nuts and bolts” of the organization - PBR Headquarters. Pueblo’s Colorado State Fair Events Center was bursting at the seams with a sold-out crowd of over 4,000 fans to see forty of the world’s most talented bull riders bring the Toughest Sport on Earth to their very own backyard!
