DULUTH, Ga. (December 29, 2007) - Bull riding fans in Atlanta, Ga. welcomed the first event of the Professional Bull Rider’s (PBR) 2008 elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) season this evening from The Arena at the Gwinnett Center. Preliminary round action from the Copenhagen Bull Ridingsm Invitational saw 22 successful rides with 2005 PBR Rookie of the Year Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.) topping the leader board.  Lostroh dominated Tino Martinez’s bull Dark Side for 88.5 points to take the early lead in the event. 

2007 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals event winner, Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho) continued on his hot streak, landing in second place after his electrifying 87.75 point trip aboard Boyd/Floyd Bull Company’s Hot Pistol.  As the winner of the last long round of the previous BFTS event (the 2007 PBR World Finals), Petersen was also riding for the $5,000 Enterprise Ride with the Best bonus.  His success on Hot Pistol added five grand to his winnings this evening.  

Kasey Hayes (Liberal, Kan.) also thrilled Atlanta with his 86.75 ride on Boyd/Floyd Bull Company’s El Gato to claim third place.
