The city of Americana is currently bidding for the opportunity to host the 2008 PBR World Cup. Nothing gets a party started like the bulls and brawn of the PBR. The 2007 Americana Event launched the first five days of the celebration by hosting the PBR Brazil Master Event with 45 of the best bull riders for the National and International Championship! This annual performance reached record-breaking attendance as a staff of 8.500 worked behind the scenes to ensure a safe and successful experience for the congregating masses. The standing-room-only event hosted an impressive range of both beauty and beast. The Americana crowd could feast their eyes on anything from the PBR's finest competitors in action, to taking in 14 different shows featuring the creative talents of a number of Brazil's most renowned artists.
It's no secret why Brazil produces so many profound athletes for the PBR - their fans drive bull riding to the next level with their dynamic enthusiasm. There was an intoxicating energy level that circulated through the crowd when Romildo Monteiro Félix won his very first victory for a PBR Brazil event. If you don't feel the adrenaline in Americana - you may want to check your pulse. The rider from Deodópolis, MS took home top honors after covering Silmar Colombo's Chocolate and defeating the forty-four other leading bull riders of the National and International Championship.
Expectations are soaring for the 22nd Americana event that is to be held June 12-22, 2008, once again, at Clube dos Cavaleirosonce in Americana, BZ. In the wake of this year's innate success, fans are anticipating next year's production to be nothing short of astronomical. If you plan on attending next year - be prepared to "Get Hooked!"
