Cord McCoy has always been a cowboy. The sixth-year veteran started riding horses before he could walk and by the age of 5, he was riding calves at his family’s ranch. With the guidance of his father, a retired rough stock rider, Cord has become one of the Top 45 bull riders in world and among the most popular in the PBR.

On the road again

I got to New York City last Wednesday for the Rachael Ray Show – about the time I did the last blog – and had a three-day event there, went straight to Denver for another three-day event, tonight I'm in Pueblo, Fresno on Friday and then Sacramento on Saturday and Sunday so we've been on the trail.

‘You just get to craving it’

After the Finals it was good to have a break because you were getting on the rankest bulls in the world – three or four a week – and your body is kind of sore, especially after you get on seven of them at the PBR World Finals.

Now I need to win a go round...

Starting off the weekend I wanted to pick a good bull because as far as the average is I've been knocked down a little bit. When I went into the bull draft today I'm shooting for go round wins, which pay $25,000.

It's an honor to come to the PBR World Finals and be considered as one of the Top 45 bull riders in world. As you tell in the first round they rode 33 out of 49 so everybody can tell that 1 through 49, including the four international riders, how good the riders are.
