I was pretty excited about having a good bull in the first round and in a one-night deal like that knowing that you get to pick your bull for the short round is pretty exciting. Boy did I waste a great opportunity. I was pretty disappointed in my performance.
I felt it was pretty pathetic, to tell you the truth, it was horrible.

I was looking forward to coming back this past weekend, but when I got on my first bull I wasn't as confident and not so sure I needed to be back. I guess after I actually got on the bull, I didn't feel 100 percent.
I felt like I was all there, but when I nodded I wasn't. As far as getting ready and the chute procedure, everything was great, but when I nodded, I don't know, it wasn't all there.

I'm going to be in Chicago. I'm going this weekend and, yes, I already entered up.
The way I look at it is we have Chicago, one more event (Des Moines), and then we get a weekend off. Then it's just one day in San Antonio before we get a break, so I think it's all right. I feel comfortable about my decision, but you never how it's going to play out.

In the first round I had a bull named Total Darkness, and he was supposed to be a really good bull. When I nodded it felt like he was real low in his backend when we were leaving the chute, and it just got me sitting on my butt. When he turned back to the left, it threw me up in the air, then I landed on my back and my head hit the ground.
It didn't really knock me all the way out, but I guess I was dazed. I couldn't get up and I didn't really know what was going on around me. I was sitting right in front of the gate, and Frank was hollering at me to move, but I couldn't move. I had no sense of direction and didn't know where I was.

My strategy when I show up at a bull riding event is to just ride each and every bull, and just try to make the best of it that I can.
I didn't feel like I did such a good job this past Sunday, but I feel like I did a pretty good the first two rounds. In the second round, unfortunately, I just lost my rope and it cost me a lot of money.
And the winner is…
