It's Pronounced Dee-Moyn!!

Before Friday night's show in Des Moines, Iowa, last weekend, I offered in-house announcer Brandon Bates $50 dollars if he would say, "Des Moinz, this is not a rodeo...!" He refused my cash, and rightly so, because it would have scarred his reputation for life. There just seems to be a lot of extra s's floating around in there. Of course, this is coming from a guy who lives in Choteau: pronounced Shodoe.

Chi-Town Shindig!

Well, the sports medicine room after the event in Chicago looked like Pierce and Hawkeye should have been around performing some sort of wartime operations. I know, that's a MASH reference. I'm an '80's guy.

Chris Shivers busted up his face and did not look pretty. Of course, all our best to him. Ednei and J.B. were both hobbled a bit, and everyone else was just sore. It's that time of year.

Big Sky Bash

Well, another year here and gone for the Billings, Montana, PBR. Now I have to look forward to it for another 363 days.

Once again, the people of Montana (and Wyoming, and South Dakota, and North Dakota, and...) showed that they love the PBR. Three great crowds of energetic, yet bull riding-knowledgable, fans flocked to this weekend's event for a great show. I don't think even the riders understand the dedication the fans show in this part of the country.

O-O-O-O-O-Omahaaaa!

The heart of America comes through again by giving us one of the greatest crowds of the year for the Omaha Invitational.

Some ten thousand strong enjoyed championship Saturday night, with early energy created by Billy Ray the Plumber, my pre-show pick. So many fans and riders alike question me about my choice of people for my introduction before the show.
