With the 2009 Built Ford Tough Series underway I thought it wise to update everyone on what you can expect in terms of online coverage of the PBR.
As in past years www.pbrnow.com is where you can find all the updated statistics as well as the injury report that is managed by Dr. Tandy Freeman. We will also be posting daily web features along with updating the blogs on a daily basis.
The blog schedule is as follows: Ty Murray will blog on Monday, Reese Cates will blog on Tuesday, Flint Rasmussen on Wednesday's, Cord McCoy will share his thoughts on Thursday, the Versus broadcasters will rotate on Friday with Brett Hoffman writing on Saturday and, finally, I'll blog on Sunday's.
Though I can't promise answering every question I will try from here on out to use my blog in order to answer some of the more frequently asked questions and, perhaps, address some of your concerns.
As a rule of thumb the Monday web feature will be greatly influenced by the event that just concluded whereas the rest of the week will then be dedicated to previewing the upcoming event – beginning with the TeamPBR member profiles that I have scheduled for Tuesday's. The stories on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will serve to breakdown the event and hopefully provide readers and fans – whether you're attending in person or watching on television – with some insight to the event.
Keep in mind that on Saturday and Sunday mornings we will be posting event coverage along with several highlights for you to look for when you watch that night's broadcast.
Of course, we'll also have the latest news and notes from throughout the PBR that will be posted as it happens. In addition to all that you're encouraged to log onto www.pbr.tv for even more coverage.
Following each event we'll have video highlights from the weekend as well as a twice-weekly video news update hosted by Pueblo native Crystal Mathews. Every Tuesday Crystal will host a three-minute recap complete with video highlights followed by another three-minute preview posted on Friday's.
This new site will also serve as home to five daily podcasts that will be posted during the week.
Monday's you'll be able to listen to my interview with Jerome Robinson as the Colorado legend breaks down the events and provides listeners with his firsthand insight as to what happened. Tuesday's will feature an interview with a stock contractor or breeder and the conversation will obviously be all about the bulls.
With all the added coverage the PBR has been receiving we will also be hosting a media roundtable featuring Melanie Jarrett (espn.com), Butch Thurman (Rodeo Sports Update), myself and other special guests. This particular weekly podcast will allow a multitude of media types to share their inside information from all the various interviews and conversations they have had throughout the week.
Thursday will feature the return of Inside the Bull Pen with Cody Lambert. The PBR livestock director will share his insight as what went into putting together the upcoming bull pen as well as highlighting a few key matchups to look for in Round 1.
A podcast featuring various rider interviews will round out the week on Friday's.
Just remember to keep logging back online to both www.pbrnow.com and www.pbr.tv for all that and more as the 2009 BFTS unfolds and we look ahead to the 2009 PBR World Finals in Las Vegas.

One question: Will you be doing more shows like "Bucked" or "Total Bull"?
I, for one, am really not happy about that apparent change because it loses the “gritty” feel that characterizes our beloved sport. And now it sounds too much like “The Greatest Show on Earth” which is the slogan of the Barnum and Bailey Circus – not the association we want to have (remember, we call them Bull Fighters not Clowns anymore). I think your marketing guys missed the mark and should be DQed for this suggestion. Yeah, I know the PBR is trying to attract new fans and have wider audience appeal, but don’t try to drift too far from the central theme of the sport or we’ll lose the magic. If you disagree, I humbly suggest that you immediately replace the other PBR slogan, “This ain’t no rodeo” with “Not all that different than a Broadway show.”
Now get up, brush off that DIRT, figure out what you did wrong and keep making the PBR greater !
