I was glad to see Adriano Moraes do well and I want to apologize to anybody who wins the go round with the short go the same day.
In other words, Adriano wins go round number two but on television we're setting up for the short go so the winner of that round gets lost because we're looking at who has what bull and who's the leader on two (and not so much at who wins the go round).
Unfortunately, the winner of the round on a day we have a short go gets bypassed most all of the time--for good reason. It's not that we made a mistake. It's just the nature of the business.
So with all that said: congratulations Adriano Moraes and Bryan Richardson. They split Round 2 with an 88. It was great to see Adriano there.
Now moving on to the short go; Big Machine won the bull team event thanks to the help of Cat Man Do, Party Time and Nash. Tom Teague and Jerry Nelson's team lost it because Big Bucks had such a poor marking, which we've never seen before.
You have five bulls on your bull team and you can not have one of them have a bad day. A lot of these events the bull team scores are decided by a half a point or even a quarter of a point, so if you have a bull that's off his game by two full points that pretty much takes you out of it.
Cat Man Do, Party Time and Nash are making a name for themselves this year. They may not have had the reputation from years past, but they're getting it done this year so congratulations to them as well.
I don't know why I'm such a big fan of Nick Landreneau, but I've been in his corner all year and he got back on track with a big 90.5 on Cat Man Do, a bull that J.W. Hart raised so I've been a big fan of that bull.
J.W. owns him and raised him and, of course, Chad Pennington, who's the quarterback for the New York Jets, he owns part of him too. I've gotten to meet Chad and visit him a little bit.
I'm always excited when people of that kind of stature and notability are involved in the bull business.
Also congratulations to Brian Canter for his event win.
