This is blog No. 1

It's an honor to come to the PBR World Finals and be considered as one of the Top 45 bull riders in world. As you tell in the first round they rode 33 out of 49 so everybody can tell that 1 through 49, including the four international riders, how good the riders are.

They're the elite of the elite.

There's no easy way through the draft. It's sort of a pick your poison. They're all rank and you can be 90 on any one of them and it's just a matter of which one you want to try and survive tonight.

I got a chance to ask a lot of the stock contractors about their bulls and just visit with them about it. In Round 2 there was a bull named Showtime that was hidden and they say you can win first. The rounds pay $25,000 here and I think from what I heard and what I saw he can be a little dangerous, but I wanted to take my chances to try and survive him.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Cord - we love your attitude. We are 3 generations of pbr fanatics - grandmother (that's me), my daughter and my 5 year old granddaughter. We asked the granddaughter one Saturday what she wanted to do and she replied, "Go to Cord McCoy's ranch." We wish you the best at the finals.

I always enjoy talking to you after the event rounds when the riders walk around doing autographs. You always comment about my red hair !! Enjoy Las Vegas and good luck with your riding. Cord
It was a good year for you, cheers! But that’s nothing compared to next year, 2009! PBR history books will record it as “The Year of Cord McCoy!” Most Best Wishes with the coming year, bro.
And thanks again for autographing my “CordMcCoy.Com” cap again in Oakland. Catch ya in Sacramento in a few weeks.
Merry Christmas to you & yours, Cord! And a Blessed New Years to All!
Best Regards,
Joe

Cord ;Cord; Cord; you are such a great young man! Any mother or grandmother would be proud to call you their son or grandson. I'm neither to you (I have my own) but I feel such pride in knowing just the kind of young man you are and what you represent. I have not had the honor of meeting any of you guys but I feel that I know and love you all. My nephew rode with Ross Coleman and several others and Roped with Shorty here in California several years ago.I am going to try and be in Fresno and Sacramento with my grandaughter who loves red-headed boys. It broke her heart when she heard Travis was married and I suppose you are to. Just joking your all safe. See ya soon if the economy keeps me a float. Stay safe; Gayle Lorren

Cord - you are such a joy to watch and that smile of yours is infectious. My husband is your biggest fan - he says if everyone had an attitude like yours - the world would not be in the shape it is in. Keep riding and for sure Keep Smiling.
