It's been a very memorable year on my behalf. But it's unbelievable to think just how quick this year has blown by. They always say time flies when you're having fun and that's an understatement.
As far as being successful this has been the greatest year of my career. Hopefully looking back it's only the beginning of success and it's only the beginning of having fun.
I've won more money this year than I've ever won in a single season, but I haven't ridden bulls as good as I potentially can, but, yes, as far as money goes I have had the best year.
Ever since the first event in Duluth, Georgia, it's been a season of fun – new people to travel with, new people to hang out with, new bulls, new events and traveling from one capital city to the next week in and week out.
It's been something truly remarkable and a time I won't ever forget. Looking back there have been several memories that I'll never forget. My best friend Kolt Donaldson and I come on the tour and sharing our rookie seasons together is something you can never replace.
Everything from my highest scored ride this year on Holy Moly in Billings, Montana, to buying the van in Cheyenne, Wyoming and driving all the way across the country... there are just so many things that I'd be here typing all day if I tried to explain it all.
I just want to say thanks to the PBR for how good they've been to me. I want to say thanks to all the fans. If it wasn't for the fans we wouldn't be here and we wouldn't be anything. Whenever we show up at the events that's one of the first things everybody notices is how many fans are in the stands.
The generosity they have--you can't replace that.
Whenever you go around signing autographs 90 percent of fans are so grateful and the other 10 percent of the fans just don't know who you are, but they're taking it all in so that next time they're at an event they too are part of the 90 percent.
I have to say thanks to my family and thanks to my friends for all the support. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I'm at now and I wouldn't get to where I'm going in future.
And I praise God for everything I have. I thank Him everyday for such a great family, such great friends, such great fans and to be able to be part of something this big. The PBR has been around for a long time and hopefully I'll get to part of it for a lot longer.
There's one event left and I'm going to let it all hang out going into this weekend, and hopefully walk out with a big check and show up at the World Finals with a smile on my face ready to win $20,000 the first round.
This whole season has been based around what the next three and a half weeks consists of: the 2008 PBR World Finals.
You wait all year for a chance to ride at the Finals and now that it's here I'm extremely happy. You can't replace the feeling that's in your heart whenever you know that something that you watched on TV ever since you were a little is about to become a reality for you.
I've dreamed about being a professional bull rider and riding in the Thomas & Mack Center at the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada for a long, long time and now that dream is finally about to come true.
With one event left to go to try and go into the Finals with the hand that's something you want.
The Finals is going to be a blast and a time where I get to hang out with a lot of family and friends and meet more of our fans.
You are so right, time does go by so fast. I can't believe it's almost time for the World Finals again. I am a big PBR fan and have loved watching bull riding since I was a kid. I have enjoyed watching you this year. I got to meet you and alot of the other bull riders in Jacksonville, Fl. You are a very fine young man, as well as all the riders. It is so refreshing to meet such nice young men at a sporting event. You are all so gracious when it comes to meeting us fans and giving autographs. My 6 yr old grandson is my bull riding buddy. We took him with us in Sept. in Jax, Fl and he was so excited that you all came around afterwards and signed his hat. He took it to school with pictures that we took to show it off. You are a great role model for these kids. Keep your chin up and your eyes on God. I pray for your safety as well as all the riders. See you in Vegas!
Hang on till you hear the buzzer Reese, Remember its ONLY 8 seconds.. The LONGEST 8 seconds of your life!
The Carr Clan will be cheering you and Kolt on. Can hardly wait for the finals to begin. Best of Luck to you both.

Life has been a blast for me getting to attend a couple PBR events. Getting to meet you and Pistol in Tulsa and getting a picture also with you. All the time I have been a die hard PBR fan I have always had the lurking question of "Why do I enjoy this so much"? "What drives me to get so involved in the PBR"? Yeah my family lives in the country we hunt, trap, and fish. But we really have nothing to do with rodeo. I finally came to the conclusion that the answer to the questions is I want to become the first women in the PBR. Yes, I understand the commitment, drive, determination, physical condition, and money it takes to over all accomplish this dream but I have a dream that is going to happen. I know that some other people probably have this dream too but I am driven. Yes, there is multiple problems that would stop me from this dream of mine but in my heart I am already a bull rider. It was weird, I had to tape a couple of bull riding events cause I was busy those weekends. So when I was watching them I just couldn't sit still. I couldn't even finish one round. I would be like "Why didn't he stay on" or "He could have done this...". And just multiple little things like that where I could rewind and fastforward and see all the little mistakes. That drived me nuts and I could watch more that one round. That drove me to want to be a bull rider and I have high hopes of becoming one. Yeah, I have supporters in my dream but like everydream there is always a downer. My parent you ask? Well they aren't really quite sure what to say about it but when ever someone has a dream it is almost imposible to keep someone away from there dream. What I am telling you Reese and all the other people reading this comment is: I need help coming closer to my dream. Yeah I could go to a rodeo school and they could teach me all this stuff but nothing would be more important to me than if I could have a bull rider, like a real one, help me reach this dream. I want to know if there is anybody out there that give me tips or advice on where I could start? Thank you so much, and think about your dream... Who do you want to become? Nothing is impossible and I wish the best for you Reese at the finals. Take home that Rookie Of the Year for me... -Brandi
You have been a blessing to the fans also. I pray for you on a regular basis and thank the LORD for the fine young gentleman you are. You have shown respect for each person as you go around the arena and are especially kind to the children. So much so that my 5 year old granddaughter wanted to give you a hug and did so. Thank you for a great season, and see you in Las Vegas.

Well OMG Reese, you have had a great year. I've especially enjoyed your blogs and at risk of sounding like an English teacher I think you have a gift for writing. You words are simple and sparse but they tell your stories eloquently. Keep working at the craft of writing with the same kind of passion as you do your riding and we will all benefit. Good luck at Finals.

For being so proud of the cowboy culture they need to start understanding cowboy pride.
It'll be interesting to see the response in Reno, don't know if I can be cheering them on like I have in the past.
