During opening weekend, 45 of the world’s toughest professional bull riders gave Kansas City one heck of preview of things to come at the PBR Big Sky Cowboy Bar. Located along the KC Live Block in the Power & Light district of downtown Kansas City, the PBR held a private VIP pre-party on Friday night. That was only beginning, however, as the weekend was highlighted by the official Nightclub PBR after party on Saturday night. A capacity crowd created more than an hour-long wait to get inside the PBR-themed bar, where several of the top riders in the world helped out with fans who took turns riding a mechanical bull. One of the most exciting moments of the night was when two-time PBR World Champion Justin McBride surprised the crowd by taking the stage and performing a number of songs from his recently released country music debut disc Don’t Let Go. “We had a good time,” McBride said afterward, “and got to go over and play a few songs—it was fun.” The official grand opening of the PBR Big Sky Cowboy Bar will take place Thursday, April 10.
